The original pulley has 3 screws, this one only has 2!

The stock tensioner on my 2002 Tahoe has 3 bolts. There are only 2 in this device. Given that I can buy a 3 bolt part, why buy a 2 bolt part and reduce the strength of the tensioner? It does not make sense. It fits and works, but I don't care about "less" mounting strength of anything, even a belt drive on an LS motor.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

OEM replacement perfect for 2008 GMC Yukon Denali

I bought this to replace my 2008 GMC Yukon Denali and it fits perfectly - I used to have a 3 bolt model and this one has a 2 bolt model but it doesn't matter performance wise. It holds tension like the previous model, I just screwed the remaining bolt back into the same spot on the motor. So far no noise after 1500 miles of use, good tension, no slippage. Excellent quality as expected from ACDelco.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • The list will go on.

Best for belt tensioner

This tensioner was perfect for my 2003 Escalade 6.0. I needed a version with two screws. There are also three screws. Look at your tensioner before ordering to choose the right one. I read some reviews that said they are interchangeable but why not just get the right part from the start. The quality is on the level of the original with a mileage of 150,000. I am very satisfied and the replacement part cost half as much at the dealer as usual.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Small things

Excellent OEM product, suitable for belt tensioner

Excellent OEM product. Perfect fit for my 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV. The only reason I give the product 4 stars instead of 5 is that it only has 2 mounting holes instead of 3 like the original. But according to GM, this is an OEM replacement. This product was made in Canada. I don't really see where the lack of a 3rd mounting hole could cause a problem. You still use 2 holes where you have longer screws. I put the 3rd short screw back in and tightened it just in case I need it in the future.

Visual inspection before purchase

This was the only pulley I had an issue with when I replaced all my pulleys and belts. The problem is actually ACdelco's fault. If you put in your VIN they can give you this part as a spare. and reason. They don't make one identical to my original part, but this one will do. I decided to use my original which has three screw points. One day I will replace it with a similar one from a competitor that perfectly matches my original. My concern is that it might rip your ears off the water pump…

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

Direct OEM replacement for my 2008 Yukon Denali with 126,000 miles. Contrary to most reviews of this product, my original tensioner has a two bolt version. Interestingly, Revain also sells a three-bolt tensioner, and in these reviews, several buyers indicate that they want this version. Tip #1: Lift the hood and see the exterior before ordering. BOTH versions are available. Luckily, many people make this mistake because some of these "like new" items are available through Revain warehouse…

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Vanish

Slight play in the bearing, but the spring is tight

A squeak can be heard every now and then. So I changed the tensioner, AC belt and tensioner, alternator and belt. all branded ACDelco. The alternator, tensioner and AC tensioner had bad bearings. After replacing all those parts, it still squeaked in the cold (winter temps). I checked all the other wheels and bearings and nothing else was suspicious or rude. I eventually narrowed the noise down to something to do with the belt rather than worn pulley bearings, since spraying the belt with water…
