Genuine AC Delco Part, Easy Fix

2005 Chevy Trailblazer 4.2 I6, VVT Solenoid Repairs Following Code: P0014Exhaust (B) Camshaft Position Timing - Over-Advanced (Bank 1) Easy DIY, 10mm Bolt it, (3) 13mm bolts to move power steering reservoir, then change oil and filter.

Fits 2005 3.5 Colorado

Fits 2005 3.5 Colorado perfectly. There was an intermittent P0014, the code did not return after replacing the solenoid. This is an updated model with latches around the screen to keep them from coming loose. Very easy installation, less than 5 minutes. It is recommended to change or replace the oil for a while.

Pros
  • Consistent test results

  • Some cons

Fits GM Vortec 4200

I replaced it on my 2006 4.2L Trailblazer in less than 20 minutes. Most of the time I was looking for one of the power steering pump bolts which I kept dropping. Exact replacement. I'll let you know if I see an increase in fuel consumption per gallon. EDIT: I replaced it along with the fuel pump, camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor and now the truck runs very smooth.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Lightly dented

It will fit your 4.2L Chevy Trailblazer and GMC Envoy

I love the Revain it fits my Trailblazer perfectly what Revain said. I thought I had bad idle air control and a bunch of other problems, that cured it all. I previously replaced it with a cheaper aftermarket unit and still had the exact same issue. Delco no longer has a check engine light

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some little things

Great value on Genuine Parts

Check Engine Light On, Scanner Coded Variable Valve Timing Solenoid On A 2005 Trailblazer. Flushed engine, put new oil in and put this solenoid valve in, reset engine light and everything works fine. Can't compete with the price of this genuine GM part. In the auto parts trade it costs almost twice as much. Note: (Oil deposits (deposits) clog the grooves in these solenoids and are the leading cause of failures. Flushing the engine and changing the oil will help keep the new one working…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

OEM at Revain prices.

Instead of buying a replacement part from the local AutoZone or Advance stores, I was able to get the correct factory part for less money. Win, win. The part works like the old one was removed. Part of the screen actually fell off in my hand after I took it off. Combine that with an oil change and a code reset and you're good to go. The change wasn't bad at all. The worst part was finding screw holes to reattach the power steering pump after moving it so there was room to remove the old sensor.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Damaged

Perfect fit for 05 " Trailblazer LS i6

I watched a youtube video on this, the hardest part was the old solenoid spun freely when I tried to pull it out but it didn't , so I was able to take a big and long flathead screwdriver and get past the o-ring, it was a bear, but I persistently rocked the screwdriver back and forth until it popped out further, and then it was easy, the new one went in Be prepared to remove the poly V-belt from the power steering and the 3 bolts from the power steering pulley to allow the power steering pump to

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Not bad

A few things to know if you're having trouble

If you're buying this you probably have a trailblazer or messenger. It means you're in trouble. Like me. Problems you don't know how to fix. This can be your problem. But be careful, if you replaced the fan clutch with something other than the Delco brand, then this is your problem. Yes, I said fan clutch. It works in the same way as the valve timing and camshaft position sensor. And it will short them out if you buy a cheap fan clutch brand. Same as mine. And mine, in turn, ruined the gearbox…
