Code P0013 in Equinox

This is the perfect part for a 2010 Equinox Chevy 2.4L engine with code P0013 for the exhaust system. Perfect fit, takes 20 minutes to install with basic tools, 10mm head. The engine code was removed by disconnecting the ground from the battery for a few minutes. This solved the problem. The code has not been returned in the last 200 miles. Perfect part for my HHR

Code P0013 was thrown into my 2008 HHR and I noticed some rough shifting. Turns out the VVT exhaust solenoid was the culprit. Each recommendation read "OEM or Overkill" (ACDelco 12679100). After disconnecting the negative battery cable, removing the airbox, and blowing out the dirt, the hardest part of the install was removing the connector on top of the solenoid (I just had to get a paper clip. Only buy OEM VVT Solenoids!

This review is for a 2013 Equinox. I urge you to avoid spare parts! I originally bought a variable timing (VVT) intake and exhaust valve solenoid as a spare for about $30. Immediately after installation, when I started my car, it rumbled and died. So I checked the resistance and it was fine. I then ordered ACDelco (GM) OEM parts (intake and exhaust) and they worked great, my error went away. Resistance tested at 12 on both new parts.
