Perfect for my 1997 Silverado C1500 I recommend applying silicone grease to the cable prior to installation to ensure trouble free operation.

You have to pull the parking brake handle quite hard to get the pedal up at the right speed, but I'm sure this can be solved with some oil. Perfect fit and correct $.

Perfect fit. 96 Silverado Before installation, take a minute and apply Fluid Film to the cable. It's worth it. Otherwise, it's a little awkward when you pull the release handle to release the brakes. FWIW

Pretty easy to install. The old cable on my 98 Chevy C1500 broke after 20 years. My only problem is that publishing has become much more difficult than it used to be. I'm afraid the handle will come off. I also have to push the handle back in so the recoil spring doesn't have enough force to overcome the wire stuck in the sheath. The routing has no kinks but the wire is very long and needs a large loop to fit.

This is the cable that runs from the parking brake release handle to the brake release under the dashboard. Worked great on a 1997 K3500 but was amazed that 5 cables were included for the price. The truck is almost 20 years old and broken for the first time, who needs 5? Honestly, this is a low price for a single cable. However, the installation is very easy!

There are five in the picture and of course that's what you get. Nothing to fault. It was an identical replacement for the parking brake release cable on my '98 GMC K2500 Suburban; That said, the original was so long it had to be wrapped under the dash, which does exactly that, so don't lose or break the plastic clip holding the cable to the base of your dash.
