4x4 Chevy Suburban Brake System

High quality drums fit perfectly, no installation problems. Road testing of them on the road slowed down a bit with no issues.

Pros
  • High quality construction
Cons
  • Useless features

Solid product in the drums

Because my truck was vibrating when braking, I decided to replace the drums as well. Great product and worth replacing if you have similar front wheel vibration due to deformed rotors.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • No power

AC Delco but made in China

They get four stars instead of five just because they are made in China. If the US EPA were to sell on Revain I would give them two starting ratings at best. These brake drums were identical to the originals and there were no obvious casting or machining problems.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Revainrating 3 out of 5

one or both drums were non-circular/ovoid.

One or both drums were not round/ovoid and therefore needed to be machined but that is not a big problem but it shouldn't be, if it is it is easier to take it to a mechanic to bring and get it right about $15 for both, the drums pounded the brake pedal

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Something else

Better than I thought

I was hesitant to buy them because other reviews said they had to process the ones received to shape them up. My set worked out of the box. The price was about half of what the local parts dealers wanted. Fits snugly on my 1999 Chevy Suburban 1500 4WD. I would go this route again.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Works great on a 1996 Suburban

ACDelco 18B275A Advantage Rear Brake Drum works great BUT you will need to sand the drums. Costs $20 per drum to spin. If you don't treat these drums, the brake pedal will jump and there will be a loud noise from the brakes. Back I had to spend an extra 40 bucks to shoot. You should consider flipping your original drums.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Minor issues
