Transmission and transmission are stronger than the original kit

I was hesitant at first due to the open packaging and the destroyed box, but the differential cover is incredibly thick and all the hardware remains intact. I decided to paint it before installing it and didn't bother doing any prep work 😎 If I need another diff cover I'll be back!

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Minor things

OEM Differential Cover - Replacement Parts

The OEM 10 bolt differential cover fits and looks good BUT the hardware included was cheaply made. The screw heads were badly rusted in two weeks. I wonder what they're made of because I've never seen metal rust so quickly. I hope the screw heads don't rust and break after a few years.

Good Quality OEM Replacement Parts

Used on 2005 Escalade ESV Good OEM Quality. thick and strong I painted mine to prevent rust. Before and after photos included. I also heard the recommendation not to use RTV. Torque to specification only and use the gasket provided. Use a gasket remover to speed things up. Hopefully that won't change for a long time.

Pros
  • Good Item
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Worked on a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500

Replaced a rusty diff cover, bolts, gasket and fluid on my 2008 Silverado 1500 109,000 miles, original fluid. Everything worked fine. It is recommended to use Permatex gear oil manufacturers on both sides of the seal and apply in a thin layer. Use a 13mm jack. Finger tighten all bolts and allow 1 hour for the RTV to settle before finally torqueing to 20 ft-lbs. Pour in just under 3 liters of 75w-90. I bought 2 liters of Revain and found I needed more. It is recommended to use a new cover and…

Great product at an even better price.

Bought for my Chevy Tahoe 99 4WD OBS. Arrived earlier than expected and included gasket, cap, new cap screws, brake line clamps. The new lid has a hole so that in the future you can drain the water without removing the entire lid. The kit also included a plug for this hole. Overall it took about 90 minutes to drain the old fluid, remove the cap, clean the surfaces and then install the new cap, gasket and drain plug. I then used the Performance Fluid Pump W1139 and filled the differential with…
