Bargain good for engines and engine parts

This is the correct part, OEM, in the same box and with a GM part number that would be available from an authorized Chevy dealer. The price was great.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • No

Would also recommend buying a serpentine belt

Dude, that was a nightmare to install on a Saab 9-3. Not the party's fault. I would also recommend buying a serpentine strap. This can make it easier to install the belt. I recommend replacing the belt at the same time.

Pros
  • Made to GM OE spec form, form and function
Cons
  • Some little things

Fits 2013 Equinox with 2.4 engine

Replacing the tensioner on my 2013 Chevy Equinox with 2.4 engine was easy once I got to it. The spanner is not to blame. I had to lift the right side of the motor and remove the motor mount to get to the turnbuckle. So far there have been no problems with it.

Pros
  • Helps keep the drive belt at the correct tension for proper operation
Cons
  • A lot of stuff
