Disappointing brake assembly for automotive enthusiasts

As a result of using this product, I found that the braking was inconsistent and lacked the expected performance for a performance car. Additionally, the installation process was difficult and required professional help.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Inconsistent braking and difficult installation process.

For some reason after I installed a new cable.

For some reason it was 3 inches longer after I installed the new cable on the driver's side. Luckily I used a cable clamp to take out the 3" slack.

Pros
  • Parking lot
Cons
  • For old

Remember that your vehicle (Cobalt/G5) has two.

Works great. The cable on the passenger side broke on my Cobalt. I only bought one. I should have known better, but the Cobalt (as I'm sure the Pontiac G5 does) has two parking brake cables. I replaced the broken one and found that the other cable had stretched and no longer snagged when the new one was tightened. This is a quick fix so you can swap both cables to evenly tension both pads. I have ordered another one.

Pros
  • Brake system
Cons
  • No power
