Not part of AC delco.

Company advertises this as AC Delco, it is absolutely not part of AC Delco. On the right side, this part is stamped by Litens, which deals with customer service. Miss emcees, lying bitches.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Spanner Litens as OEM!

There is a Litens imprint on the back of the tensioner which was the same brand as the original which I removed from my 2000 Jetta TDI ALH! Belts no longer make noise or vibration!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

OEM. Made in Germany

Genuine VW part made in Germany under the ac delco brand. Was surprised to see a belt tensioner of this quality for the price. The dealer wanted three times more. Looks identical to the original which he has replaced with a 2003 Jetta tdi.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

The tensioner works great, the removable pre-assembly pin is too soft.

Works great. However, the little pin that holds the device when ready to assemble is too soft and only bent during shipping, it took me about 1 hour to remove this stupid pin even when it wasn't stressed as it was in a S-shape curved.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Stopped my 2000 TDI jump belt!

I have a TDI with 300,000 miles on it and I'm pretty sure the tensioner that came on it was stock. I felt like I could lose my belt at any moment. It took some motivation to get the old one off, but now that it's in place my belt is STURDY. That's great. I really HEAR when someone driving next to me in a Volkswagen runs into the same problem and I think what a cheap fix! haha2000 TDI ALH engine!

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Cheaper than OEM, looks just as reliable

Used 3 months no problems. A simple install that went straight to my Jetta TDI mkIV. No strange noise or vibration, stable voltage after 1000 miles. I was very happy to see that the locking pin held the unit loose upon arrival, but I had to remove it to install the unit as it was not clean. It's not a problem after all, but it would be nice to see a slightly shorter stylus in it. One thing to note is that the pulley is stamped sheet metal (just like the original VW part) and is surprisingly…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine
