Be sure to test the product before installation. Not an AC Delco product!

Failure within 3 months. Started to squeak. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the GM part number had been deleted. The 'Litens' part number 999588 indicates that this product is an aftermarket item sold by Advance Autoparts. This is not an AC Delco product. Glad I kept the old tensioner and just changed the pulley.

Pros
  • Fully equipped with the latest technology
Cons
  • Modernity

My Corvette ran about a mile after installation then it spat out my belt, put the belt back in and spat it out again . The tensioner bounced off due to lack of tension. Installed the old one with 17,000 km, the tension was perfect. Will not buy acdelco from Revain again

Pros
  • High quality manufacturer
Cons
  • Some problems

2002 Corvette C4, A4, 68,000 miles. ACDelco 38194. Screwed straight. The old pulley bearing was dry and I could hear them as the pulley turned. Uses a 15mm socket and torqued to 37 ft/lb. The new tension spring felt the same as the old tension spring. If desired, you can replace just the pulley, sold separately, instead of the entire assembly. You need a 6-groove idler, not a smooth idler. This is for the serpentine belt that drives the water pump, power steering and alternator (GM calls it…

Pros
  • We are constantly upgrading our powerful range to meet the needs of modern users
Cons
  • Hard to say
