Five stars for shocks, struts and suspension

Very nice, good for coil springs

Very good ride characteristics. 99' Grand Marquis GS. My old springs sagged in the trunk or on the back seat due to very little weight. Raised the rear of the car a bit. I hope it levels off a little deeper. Even if not, I agree with the position.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Operating speed

A good choice to maintain ride height and comfort.

Fits my 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis. Compatibility is likely not listed this year due to the original air spring, so this is not a direct replacement. My car came with a Ford constant rate coil spring which was great - comfortable, not floaty. However, after sitting on the slope in my driveway, it started to shrink and the muffler started scratching the driveway every time I parked. it was too painful to live with. I eventually switched to this Delco AC I researched and found that the spring…

Fit Tip - Shocks, Struts and Suspension

I have three city cars. About 2-3 years ago I replaced the leaking airbags on a 98 TC Sig with Moog CC865 springs. I can't remember the details but the job must have gone well enough and I'm still happy with the results. Earlier this month I replaced the leaky bags with a 99 TC Sig with ACD 45H1137 springs. Aside from leaking bags, the air compressor pump actually "threw out the stem," no joke. It has a 4.6 liter V8 but has 9 connecting rods under the hood. I think these ACD springs and…

Excellent product, best of coil springs

Three main comments on these springs: First, for those interested, although not listed, two spools of four rubber isolators are supplied. Since I was replacing the rear suspension airbags on my 1998 Lincoln Town Car, I only needed one insulator on each coil. The bottom part doesn't need it. Secondly, I expected a little more trouble with their installation than actually. Since I also replaced both shock absorbers, I first removed them. If you are not replacing shocks, you can simply loosen the…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

  • Almost never
