ACDelco shocks are good for shocks

One of the first two ordered was bad (no gas in the shock) Ordered a replacement and solved the problem. I suspect ACDelco isn't what it used to be.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Reliability

Good original shock absorbers at a good price.

Delco is my favorite as I drive a Chevy in the mid 90's and AC are the best genuine parts you can find at the time. again, it's good for the price. It's not gold and doesn't have the best impact resistance. but because it's so cheap, it's damn good

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Not bad

Top quality shock absorbers for the price!

These shock absorbers are of good quality and at an affordable price. This is exactly what I was looking for. Not stiff like off-road shocks, but way better than old worn out shocks. They ensure a smooth ride on my Chevrolet s10 1998 4WD. I highly recommend these shocks without a doubt.

Pros
  • Installation Type: Vehicle Specific
Cons
  • Fair

Worked on a 1999 GMC Sonoma 4.3L with Sport Pack

Much more severe than I expected. Installation was fairly easy, except I had to remove the rear stabilizer bushing nuts and brackets to get the lower shock bushing into the studs. It's pretty easy with a 2 post portable lift, you need a U-joint to remove the shock's outer top bolt.

Pros
  • Top Quality Manufacturer
Cons
  • Minor issues

AC Delco quality for good ride and handling

These are great shock absorbers that are easy to install in the extended cab of my 4WD pickup. They can be a little stiff but this is a truck, I'm much safer on the freeway and with more weight. Cornering is a lot better too, my OEM shocks have done 116,000 miles, they are a perfect replacement, well if you can't afford Bilsteins, for a 15 year old truck I'm very happy with them at $28 apiece. I have used the same model AC Delco front shocks and AC Delco coil springs, I am very satisfied in all

Pros
  • fully equipped with the latest technology
Cons
  • Clarity

Hello, I am the original owner of a 1997 S10 pickup and have these shocks Bought which are listed as OEM shocks and factory installed shocks..not true, they are 20% smaller in circumference and the piston skirt is also smaller than the factory originals..always try to buy ac delco parts for my truck but. those and the front shocks I bought just don't match what GM installed at the factory. The ride is also very poor so my advice is either upgrade or try it with heavy duty and if braces like mine…

Pros
  • We are constantly upgrading our high performance units to meet the needs of today's users.
Cons
  • Damaged
