Wrong key code for 1968

This is for my 1968 Firebird but it came with J code keys. In 1968 there were C code keys. This is a problem when you want to use the spaces of NOS keys with the correct dot.

Pros
  • Designed, developed and tested for GM cars
Cons
  • Not bad

Make sure you need this.

Maybe it's my ignorance but for my '68 Camaro this part did not fit. My ignition has a buzzer if the key is left in the ignition with the door open. This part has no protruding button on the back. Check yours first so you don't waste your money!

Pros
  • Package Dimensions: 3.7L x 1.6H x 1.6W (inches)
Cons
  • Protection

Be sure to read my review on these items

Key cylinder is good, it doesn't have an original GM key but maybe it can be made. My only complaint is that I bought the matching ignition from the "parts place" according to Revain, they don't work together, this key cylinder is completely wrong for this ignition, it kind of doesn't fit in, they are machined quite differently. The ad says they will work together so don't guess the buyers!

Pros
  • Made in Mexico
Cons
  • Security
