Keep your gears in order!

So far so good. There's no installation guide, but it's more a matter of convenience. The belt is slightly wider so use the spacers provided.

This is a mixed kit

Belts and water pump are actually Gates, all bearings are made in Japan under the Koyo brand and are identical to the originals, but the tensioner is made in China. I would give 5 stars if the tensioner was better or if anything in this kit was actually made by AC Delco.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Everything I needed for work.

No problems installing other than trying to pull the pin out of the timing belt tensioner, it was actually there! It doesn't help that once mounted on the block there is little room for the lever. Everything fits perfectly. Driven about 5k km, no problems and background noise.

Pros
  • Everything great!

Tensioner makes noise after 10 km

Mediocre kit. The tensioner makes noise and therefore needs to be replaced again. I'll use a different brand this time. FYI this kit was installed by my mechanic who I worked with for 15 years who has replaced several timing belts for himself and friends. It's not the home master's fault. Very disappointing.

  • Not bad, but...

Read the installation instructions before you buy

Too much work at 134k for me because with this mileage not necessarily a must. I thought it would be easier judging by the reviews and photos but it turns out I have to remove quite a bit including the motor mount and I'm not ready with all my tools to do such a job.

Pros
  • Longevity Finish
Cons
  • Negative impression

Water pump not good

2007 Honda Ridgeline. The timing belt has no marks, which is inconvenient, but it works. You need to mark the old one on the crank pulley and cam pulley and count the teeth. At 103,000 miles the old tensioner was leaking so I'm glad I got a new one. The belt was longer (stretched) than new, so my point is that if your maintenance inspector tells you, you should probably do it. I bought the truck for 83,000 so I have no idea if the code came before or was done, if at all. The water pump is my…

Quality kit, great price

I installed this kit on my 2013 Honda Odyssey EX-L (3.5L V6) last week. At the same time, I compared all the parts with the original parts I replaced. In particular, the water pump and the tensioner were of high quality and corresponded to the original parts in terms of workmanship and tolerances. The fit was perfect down to the last detail. Once installed the parts work exactly as expected and the issue I had (ticking noise due to a worn tensioner) has been resolved.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Almost OK

Everything as ordered - See tips

Everything as ordered Problems & tips: Spring pin bent when pulled out (4 stars) - Pin not stiff enough, had to use a small Allen key. Use a large screwdriver blade between the tension spring piston and the tension roller bracket to ease the spring force; Replace the o-ring on the plastic power steering inlet with the PS off - my pump is leaking air; Use a long breaker attached to the suspension with a chain and use the engine starter to loosen the CS bolt - heat the bolt first (see YouTube)…
