Recommended when replacing the fuel pump

Bought with a fuel pump for my truck. After 201,000 miles I thought it would be a good idea to replace the metal ring, especially given the work they had to do to get to it.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I will not say anything

Good thing I bought it as a spare

I bought it at the same time as the new fuel pump. I'm glad I did. Because the old holder was a piece of rust. It took a lot of beatings to get rid of it. When I did it was a crippled mess. The new one went to the new pump very quickly.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • I'll write later

Be sure to order.

If you're having trouble resetting your gas tank to replace your fuel pump, do yourself a favor and order this retaining ring too. You'll find that years of corrosion has damaged the OEM ring and you'll need it and be glad it's done.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • High Price

Those of you who have Tahoe or Chevy 01-05.

Those of you who own a Tahoe or 01-05 truck if you have a fuel leak at the top of the fuel tank you are probably replacing the fuel pump, don't forget the pump retaining ring you will need that everything rots on top of the tank. This saves you trouble and time.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Fine

Looks like it's too thick hair or something

Didn't work on my 2009 Avalanche. We couldn't avoid it to progress. Like it's too thick hair or something. I have installed many of them on other cars. Me, a friend, and his father, the chief mechanic at ASE, couldn't sit him down. We reused the old one. Yes, the surface has been cleaned and properly prepared. They could eat off surfaces. It just didn't work.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • I don't remember

Buy this if you are replacing your fuel pump

If you are replacing your fuel pump, buy another one before you start. You'll smash the old one by taking it off and it won't be fun. If your pump fails, if you live in a climate where it snows, that part will likely be rusty. I was replacing a pump on my Silverado in Massachusetts because of a rusty fuel line on the pump and the boy didn't enjoy taking that ring off.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Some bugs

Original GM part in plastic bag OEM GM

Original GM part. Once the tank was off the truck and the old rusty fuel pump and retaining ring removed, the new installation was easy. Be sure to clean the mounting tabs on the tank to make the snap ring easier to put on, works great and with the new pump and snap ring the block is sealed again and the tank can be taken back to the truck, do the fuel pump replacement Get it right the first time and you won't regret it, get a new snap ring and o-ring.

Pros
  • That's awesome
Cons
  • Protection
