Enhanced Safety Cap for Acetylene Cylinder Regulator Protector - 3-1/2 x 12, Fine Thread Review

The threads didn't match my 4 Acetyline cylinders. And I have 3 different cylinder sizes. I had to cut the threads of the acetylene cap and weld to it to make it work. Very disappointed

It works great I have one in my shop at home. I have one at work too. The working setup is a set of Harris gauges. The Home Store installed Victor Edge 2.0. Both pressure gauges are easily suitable for open side rooms.

Bought 2 of these both were covered in powder paint chips one was threaded correctly the other would not align properly so I can't fully tighten it to fit adjusters in, I waited too long to come back so I was stuck with that.

Thought this might not disappoint. But seriously bad paint. Cut straight out of the Revain box, missed the bottom. How much is that thing, I thought it had a decent powder coat finish? Otherwise it is as advertised.

Excellent product. The packaging was terrible. I bought 4 of these and all that was used to fill them were inflated plastic bags. They were all torn off leaving no protection so the powder coating had chipped off around the edge. They do what they're supposed to do, even when they're a little stumped.

The seller quickly sent me the original and the replacement, I have no problems with the seller. None of the caps I received would screw my bottle on more than a quarter turn. I've tried two other standard caps on my bottle and they screw on and off easily. Something is clearly wrong with the manufacturer's thread.

I got this safety ring and tried to screw it onto my acetylene cylinder with thin threads and then found the threads were useless. Like they cut her twice at two different angles. Finally, after about an hour using a Dremel tool cutting my own threads and stripping off half the paint or powder coating, I barely got it working. I wouldn't recommend buying this one because it was the cheapest, same as me. Come on, pay more and get a good one.
