Great Sensor for Color Recognition

This breakout board is perfect for adding color recognition capabilities to Raspberry Pi projects. The TCS3200 sensor provides accurate and reliable readings, making it ideal for applications like sorting objects by color. The breakout board is easy to connect and use and it comes with clear documentation and examples to guide you through the setup process. The only downside is that it requires some soldering skills to get it up and running..

Pros
  • - Accurate color recognition: The ACROBOTIC TCS3200 Recognition Breakout Raspberry is equipped with a high-quality color sensor that can reliably detect and differentiate a wide range of colors.
Cons
  • Reliability

It's not good enough when there are so many options.

LEDs are much higher than most, so they can't sit very close to the colors you're trying to read. It's also very badly marked. Each circuit for each project gives all the pinouts, and HALF the pins aren't labeled at all, so I have no idea how to connect them. The website of the company that did this (Acrobot) doesn't have a search function to try and track down the diagram and the contact page isn't available. It was a waste of time I now have to return for the correctly labeled one from a…
