Active Adapter CableCreation Resolution Converter Review

Seems to be quite well built and is working well so far. Since it's only been a few weeks, I can't comment on durability. A true active dual link DVI adapter. Ideal for connecting my Thunderbolt 3 equipped Windows laptop to a 30" Apple Cinema display. Works instantly @2560x1600 60Hz! No complaints yet.

I've tried at least four other competing DVI-USB-C adapters and none of them have helped connecting an old (2005) Apple Cinema HD display to a new one a MacBook. At first I was very pleased that this allowed me to use my 30" Apple Cinema Display (A1083) with my new MacBook Air. annoying, for example my Macbook sometimes forgot ( maybe once a week) after sleeping that the ACD was on the left instead of the right and/or the resolution on the ACD reset to low. Honestly this is a good product. I tried an active dual link display port on DVI-D and it was terrible. Unreliable at best, and syncing has been disabled. I tried two DVI-D monitors with 3D Vision at 120Hz and 144Hz and both worked fine. I will say that initially the monitor takes more time to "sync/set up" but once it has stabilized it works great. So I would set up the 3D Fix Manager to start non-3D stereo and then turn it on manually. It was better. I hope this is good news for gamers who…
