Works as advertised!

First, this thing does what it says on the tin, and that's the most important part. Sure, it would be great if it had better support for Linux, MacOS, or both, but unfortunately it's not really promised, and you can (much more expensively!) get UberTooth if you can't live without excellent Linux support. Follow the instructions for use carefully. from the AdaFruit website - which means you should get the same version of WireShark, especially as the 2.x version doesn't seem to work in my…

Install guide needs updating, quite annoying

I spent two days getting this to work. I managed to get it working on my laptop but not on my desktop. The problem is likely due to incorrect links in the installation instructions on the Adafruit Learn website. Showing it in the Wireshark device list is hit and miss. It's a real shame as there are quite a few posts about these configuration issues on the Adafruit forums. Someone needs to update the procedures and make sure all the different versions of things are referenced and that they play…

Not quite there yet. Not up to usual Adafruit standards.

It hurts to use it on a Mac! As a result, no information can be transmitted to WireShark in real time. You need to register it and then look at the logs. Good luck trying to keep messages in sync like key presses without being able to see where they happened in the stream! To make matters worse, they've made a few changes to the board, but they don't clearly state which is which. For example, there was a "blue" version (an earlier version) that they replaced with a "black" version that didn't…

Doesn't work on Linux and only partially on macOS

I like Adafruit products, I can even be called an Adafruit fan. If there are multiple options, and if there is one from Adafruit, I will choose it based on its quality, documentation, and guidance. They let me down with that. This is a very immature product. Came undocumented which is not critical. I found this on their website. But then this documentation is incomplete and confusing. I couldn't get this device to work on Linux at all (they mention that it works on Ubuntu and elsewhere they…

Connect this product to Wireshark and you're done.

This is an Adafruit product, very well made and designed The Adfruit team make very good products and seem to care more about the consumer than profit. Very impressed, I would buy again. I love it when Adafruit looks at their website for ideas on how to implement this product.
