Not durable, not recommended.

This drive failed after 1 year and 5 months. SMART status showed 5 and 182 code errors. An external USB adapter connection to another Windows 10 computer crashes Windows, but an external connection to a MacBook reads and restores data with no problems. No data will be lost, but the drive is now in the Recycle Bin.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Hard to tell

It's fried! in Internal SSDs

Installed without problems the same day I received it, the computer recognized it immediately, I was able to format it and use it in less than 30 minutes. A few days later I start my computer and find an error and missing data. The drive has disappeared from Windows and is not recognized in the BIOS. I open the computer and find a disc with a burn mark. I lost all my data on it but luckily I had a backup.

128GB SU800 slow only! If you decide to perform a firmware update on your drive, ALL of your data will be erased! No other SSD manufacturer like Samsung or Crucial erases user data during firmware update. I will never buy an ADATA SSD again. Search the internet for a detailed review of these ADATA SU800 SSDs at Tom's Hardware website. The smaller the hard drive, the slower it is. The most powerful drive in the SU800 series is the 512 GB model. ADATA is misleading on its packaging by claiming…

Support doesn't exist

There is a rather long comment from another customer talking about all the many problems he has experienced. This included the confusing and, for me, completely unsuccessful result of solving several problems. Getting the migration software was just a farce. Don't count on it. When I couldn't find the serial number and complained to Revane, they simply forwarded my complaint to Adata. Adata didn't help me with the serial number and all the codes on my drive didn't work to get the software…

Hot as Molten Lava

Very Hot. I am amazed at how hot this drive can get even when installed in an open case. I do a lot of builds a year and have never bought an ADATA SSD but decided to give it a try to save some money. Installation is as easy as any other SSD - they're all easy. I noticed that this drive is lighter than other SSDs, giving it a cheap look. Each drive I install is usually a clone of another drive. This operation is write-intensive and provides a good measure of performance. What I didn't expect…

Speeds are great, but there are a few issues.

Well after ordering a new laptop I was fed up that it only had a 5400rpm hard drive. Then I saw an m.2 slot for SSD speeds. Unfamiliar with this technology, I bought the cheapest SSD available. This SSD ADATA m.2 was recognized immediately. I had problems with the cloning software that came with it, so I used more reliable software and cloned my boot partition and game to the device. The read/write time corresponds to the declared one. It's getting a little warm, but hasn't reached a…

Complete garbage. I bought Kingston 128GB SSD and this adata.

Total rubbish. Bought a Kingston 128GB SSD in February 2018 and this Adata SU800 128GB. Both were installed with similar systems in mid-March. The Adata machine began to have trouble and run slowly. I tried to reboot the system and it doesn't come back. At first, the error indicated that the boot record was corrupt. Then I continue to use the recovery disk for repairs. This is where it got interesting. The drive appeared to have failed to the point where the BIOS recognized it, but Windows…
