It works as expected

I use it to check the concentration of a water based coolant on a CNC router. I've been using it for several years now with no complaints. Calibration is complete and that's it, no rocket science. These things are pretty basic, so there's no reason to overpay for what some people do.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Good for the price Good for analyzers

Perfect item for maple sap/syrup growers

Although I only have a few trees in my garden (10 branches), I really wanted to know if my sap/syrup ratio was "in the normal range". This refractometer is very easy to use and extremely accurate. (I calibrated it with 0% distilled water and tested it with 5% lab sucrose. It has worked flawlessly in several different temperature tests!) The device is also extremely robust and seems well constructed for field use. The kit also included a soft zippered pouch, two droppers, and a calibration…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged
