They are not very good. They are not thick enough to protect the entire crust if your pie stand has thick edges. They also don't snap well, so they fall off easily. Also, anything, even a little candy, sticks to the surface, and even a washcloth couldn't remove stuck drips—you had to scrape them off with your fingernail.

Tried to reheat a cake last night. In the beginning it was difficult to insert the lock. Once that was done I placed it on the edge of the cake. Later, when I took the cake out of the oven, the protection just fell off. It will become very soft and pliable and may have stretched out a bit.
