Historically, I have had two problems with metal spoons. First, no matter what teemperature your food is, metal spoons tend to become much hotter than the actual food--they necessarily absorb and/or conduct heat and cold. I was initially hesitant purchasing these spoons after reading reviews about it feeling cheap/flimsy or it arriving defective but decided to give it a shot since there was free return if needed. Ya'll I am absolutely in love and use this spoon EVERYDAY! The hubby even noticed how I've been using it so often. They're very light, perfect length and comfortable to hold. I do think it'll break if you're rough with it but I only use it for eating purposes so it works for me!

I bought these wanting an eco-friendly option for stirring spoons, they’re a great size and beautiful, but each and every one wrapped in plastic! And to make it worse, made in China. Completely defeated the purpose of my purchase. Description says "eco-friendly” and I should have looked to see where they were made because you can depend on China to sneak plastic in there somewhere. Returning just for this.

My son wanted some wooden spoons after watching other cultures using them to eat with, so I purchased them for him. All of them have been good except for 1 which he used only once and it chipped across the whole tip of the spoon. I had to throw that 1 away because I didn’t want it to chip again and he ends up swallowing wood.

These are perfect size for what I use them for. They are not big and as far as heavy duty I’m not sure they could withstand heavy lifting or stirring cookie dough but for soups and pasta or rice dishes they are awesome. I never put them in the dishwasher and they have lasted a long time.

These are really very nice. Smooth, sturdy, easy to use, don't affect or add to the taste of food. They are just too large. They were marketed as small eating spoons, but they are sized like a large eating spoon. So they do not work well for many foods, or for small children.

These spoons are THE PERFECT spoon for just about everything. They are not quite deep enough to serve with but close and anything else is great: a simple stir fry, making oatmeal, can also eat soup and oatmeal with these, they serve as a pretty sturdy and well fitting spatula type utensil, and they fell GREAT in your hand and mouth. I bought these because I had a hard time finding a spoon for backpacking. Aluminum tarnishes, plastic snaps, and Titanium transfers too much heat. These are great for a Mountain House (or whatever) pouch, are strong enough to survive in a pack, and clean up easily. And they're cheap too!I'm also using one as a coffee stirrer and was surprised to see how well it's holding up to repeated washes in the dishwasher.

This is my fault for not noticing they are only 9 inches long and small wooden spoons. The pictures I find misleading because that fry pan pictured next to the spoons must also be mini to make the spoons look larger. I use a wood spoon for cooking and these are way too small for me.

Good solid big wooden spoon. Not Ladle size but perfect for eating and cooking/stirring without burning fingers.It's a bit glossy at first but wears down quickly with some use. It's not as strong as metal spoons of course, it's 2 grams lighter but none of that really matters. What matters is that it's so nice to use. These are my favorite spoons! When I told my sister I was getting wooden spoons, she didn't even think they would be any good and wondered why I bought them, but now they are the only spoons we use for everything from eating yogurt to soups to rice to mixing ingredients for baking or cooking in a pan. I love that the handle is longer than the normal spoon. The spoon is super smooth and feels great to eat from. I bought a second set in case these ever get discontinued.

The spoon is light weighted and easy to hold. The shape of the spoon is beautiful too. Overall, it’s a good quality asset in my kitchen.

Very Nice wooden spoons. Beautiful brownish wooden color. Smooth edge. Easy to hold. Good size for individual use or use as serving spoons. It’s also good to use on non-stick pans and pots without causing scratches.

Had no issues with it! I couldn’t break it from wacking it. Doesn’t really burn on high heat pans, dishwasher approved. Light and perfect for eating all my dishes. This is a must have for anyone who hates the sound of metal utensils ribbing

Great spoons, I use them on my nonstick pans so they don’t get scratched. They’re just MUCH smaller than I thought they’d be.

We have cats and feed them wet food, so the plastic feeding dishes get dirty as the left-over bits dry. I use one of these spoons to scrape old bits from the dishes. The spoons are quite sturdy for that so far. This is done 3 times a day: in the morning the dishes from yesterday are scraped before they go into the dishwasher, later, the old bits are collected into an additional dish -- dried wet bits are like new dry cat food.
