Replacement parts worth every penny

Installed on my Mazda 3s 04 it completely changed my attitude towards the car. It doesn't produce a harsher sound, it's a bit guttural but only after you hit 3500+ rpm. I noticed a little more gas mileage, but it made up for it by cruising at higher rpm to hear that faint roar. Installation was easy, but removing the stock airbox was a pain. It took about 60-90 minutes to remove the stock airbox and resonator and then about 10-15 minutes to install them.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Flaws

Forget performance, it's all about MPG gain.

Although I no longer own my 2008 Mazda 3 (swapped for a Mazdaspeed) this AEM CAI was amazing. It was very easy to install, gave a decent performance boost and gave me more mpg than I could ask for. In my opinion, the air intake should first be installed in almost every car, because the advantages are obvious. You get a little more power and more mpg, which pays for itself in about a year. All in all, I highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No automatic transmission

Exactly as described.

I always buy AEM air intakes for all my cars and I highly recommend them to all my friends. Intake System I Recommend: K&N air filter cartridge that replaces the stock air filter in a plastic intake box: Cheaper, beats intake air filter to stock air filter and takes 20 seconds to install. This intake system uses a K&N cone-shaped air filter. The trade-off between replacing the K&N air filter and getting this true intake system is that the aluminum intake pipe offers superior intake over a stock

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

Mazda3 2008 2.3 liters. Be careful with the wiring harness.

A significant improvement in all aspects of performance. After a week or so, check the engine light for alternating codes related to mass airflow. I strongly suspect that I stretched the mass airflow connector during installation and now I need to fix the cables (good luck finding a replacement pigtail, I'm on an ACdelco PT1504, this fix will come out in a week). Don't make my mistake, apparently common, disconnect the wire harness from the battery box before connecting it to the new input to…

Difficult to install but worth it!

First mod project with my boy and his first car! It was a bit difficult, but it was worth it! I bought it from Revain for only $140. Not sure why it was so cheap but it was new and fit my son's 2008 Mazda 3 hatchback. A few notes: 1) Read the instructions first! However, the instructions are a bit lacking, so here are some pointers. You need free access to the chassis (lift the front of the car) and turn the wheels all the way to the right. Do all this before disconnecting the negative…

  • Everything is fine!
