A bit expensive in my opinion.

Excellent quality, excellent accuracy. My only complaint is that AEM is very proud of them. $65 for a sender is absurd but it was what I needed.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Doesn't last at all!

Worked well a few times. The car doesn't move. It might have driven 20 miles since the gauge was installed and now it is reading 20psi at idle when it should be reading 40. Failed too quickly.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Good pressure sensor; Chunky connector assembly

Looks like a very good pressure sensor. It supplies a DC output voltage that is directly dependent on the pressure. My only complaint is that the electrical connector is difficult to connect to the wiring. I used to assemble Molex connectors into wire harnesses and they were a lot simpler than these automotive connectors. I had to buy more pens and try several times. I wish it came with pigtail wiring so you don't have to assemble your own.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Available in white only

The threads on this AEM are perfect 1/8 NPT

A definite improvement over the 25.00 unbranded sensor I previously bought. Learned there. The thread on this AEM is ideally 1/8 NPT. The design looks and feels good and conveys what appears to be a very accurate voltage reading. The only downside is that it doesn't come with a pigtail connector like the picture above, just a plug, pins and socket. You have to tie it yourself. I suspect this has advantages if you want a splice-free cable connection, but for me it means I have to cut more cable…

Pros
  • Sample for a year
Cons
  • There are nuances

Good but expensive and (for me) missing parts

I recently bought this unit to connect to a Raspberry Pi so I can control the water pressure in my house. The 0 to 100 psi range is ideal for this. (Reminder: This sensor measures pressure relative to the ambient air, not absolute.) The sensor I received works and is of acceptable quality. A set of automotive quality connectors is included (more on that later). The sensor requires a 5 volt power supply. The signal is read from a single pin that outputs a voltage ranging from 0.5 volts (0 psi)…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
