The hook itself is great but I ordered them after the plastic set I ordered from Revain before that set broke in the same spot. It seems to heat up around the hook right where the cord meets the hook, but halfway through the baby blanket the plastic came loose from the hook.

Make blanket with hook G and after about 6 inches the plastic line attached to the hook broke. I tried several ways to reattach the line to the hook but none of them worked. Started back on the afghan with an H hook. Only made about 3 inches before the plastic cord broke at the base of the hook. I threw away the remaining crochet hooks because they seemed unsuitable for knitting blankets.

Oh well! I'm probably the first reviewer. I hope I'll be the last one because no one else should be wasting their money on those crappy crochet hooks! Let me be the first to say they are just awful! I've tried three different sizes of crochet hooks from the pack and each has such a rough surface that it catches the yarn and tears it apart if you try to pull through the stitch. The attached plastic cords are so twisted by kinking and bending that they can never be straightened again. If I could…
