Only suitable for devices with USB_C. Cat 6 is mandatory.

This device was tested on a 2020 Dell Precision. Windows 10 Pro connection negotiation: no problem. Speed: You need a CAT6 cable. Even at a distance of two meters, CAT 5 reached 100 Mbit / s. CON is another takeaway device. If you need more USB-A or video ports, you can buy a hub instead. This is the so-called "point solution" but it's a good one. You'll need an adapter if you're using it with an old USB-A only PC (that's not the script it's intended for). The seller might bundle a small one…

Cons
  • Big and chunky

Great for small modern Ultrabooks

One thing that has happened to many small modern Ultrabooks and laptops is that the built-in Ethernet port is a thing of the past. This is to be expected since our world is so wireless now, but there are cases where Ethernet is required for higher bandwidth and consistency, or if you're just working in a harsh environment. Docking stations with ethernet when that's the only connection you need when you're out and about, it's inconvenient when a shorter cable is better for connecting to systems.

Cons
  • Hard to say
