The one I have doesn't work.

We bought one to help the drain pump. Maybe we have a lemon, but it didn't work. I connect everything correctly, the green light on the monitor is on, come back in a week or two, the green light is off, the battery is low. I spoke to customer service and they made me aware of how much it would cost to ship this thing, so I thought maybe the battery was bad. Connected to another battery and some results. It never worked and I'm not happy.

Part of my safety plan

Our sump pump runs every hour during the fall, winter and spring, so we've been concerned about power outages since we moved in. I've done a lot of research on setting up a backup battery, specifically for our sump pump, and to learn more in general, and I'm glad I chose AIMS for the inverter/charger, wiring, remote control, and AGM battery have. They were very supportive when I had more questions and after setting everything up I tested it a couple of times and it works great. Not the cheapest

Pros
  • Highest score for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Electrical outlet required

Worked great in 2 weeks

Plugged this inverter charger into my tiny house for 2 weeks. Has worked flawlessly. I've never run it past 50% of its power and it responded very well. I plugged it into shore power for a week and on a few cloudy days the batteries stayed charged. Unfortunately, after about 2 weeks, the 200 ampere main fuse blew. My electrical system was checked by several master electricians and nobody could find a fault. So I installed another fuse. Burned out again, completely discharged, disconnected from…

  • Confident

Great inverter for trucks!

I installed this inverter in my trailer. It is fully configured with shore power and battery charging. I also installed a remote control with blue LEDs because the inverter is mounted in an inaccessible place under the bed. Battery charging works fantastic and the inverter provides enough clean power for all my travel needs. I regularly run a George Foreman grill and coffee pot (about 800 watts at a time) and have used a few power tools such as puffers with good results. The inverter is well…

The function block is damaged due to design issues.

Functional unit with construction flaws. I installed the 1100w model in my RV and have been using it for a year now. The first serious drawback: the lack of a low-voltage cut-off. The inverter will dry discharge your 12V batteries. Therefore, you should never forget to turn it off. A constructive improvement could be a selectable voltage shutdown, so that the device cannot be operated at a voltage higher than 12.4 V, for example. Second main disadvantage: The rotary switch of the charging…

Perfect for keeping the drain pump running during a power outage

Although we have a 12V pump + 100Ah AGM battery in the event of a power outage our finished basement almost flooded when the battery (2 total ) year old) for our 12 volt pump failed during an overnight storm. Luckily we were home and one of my 900 watt pure sine wave computer UPS was willing to sacrifice its life to run a 120 volt pump to save our basement. This Aims unit is much cheaper than the Pump Sentry units you will find and due to its low frequency it is much better suited for running…

Quadrafire Pellet Stove Works

After purchasing a Surefire 512 that was supposed to be "Designed for Pellet Stove" and failed miserably on mine which by the way was $100 more than the Aims 1250 watt and only 500 watts cost and could not handle a 135 watt load switch. I bought goals. I have 2 100Ah batteries and tested them yesterday with full batteries. It worked great and ran for 8 hours until I switched it back to AC because the batteries were down to 12.2 volts which from all my research is about 50% of the battery. It…

High quality product

I am using this inverter/charger as part of a battery backup system for a 3/4hp 10 amp drain pump. Overall, this is great value for money with great features. In my case, I wasn't happy with the performance of the 12V pumps, but I struggled to come to terms with the price of the Pump Sentry. I was happy to have found this product as an alternative. Pros: - Features an advanced charging and monitoring process including CC/CV/Float stages. - Allows you to choose multiple battery types to charge…
