Solved trailer sag on shocks, struts and suspension

I installed these airbags professionally on a 2016 Ford Explorer. They fixed the rear sag right away, but as others have said their setup was a real bear. In the garage the car had to be jacked up and the coil springs removed in order to put them back. The compressor connections are not waterproof, so the compressor had to be mounted in the car. The pockets creak a bit, but the system is very easy to use.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Useless features

Waste of money and time

After 2 hours of installation at 35psi I have 1/16 inch more with load. I carry a ramp and wheelchair, a 90 lb ramp and a 210 lb wheelchair. It drops 3 inches and with this product it didn't matter. I called the Airlift Company direct and said it sucks to be you. The company that sold it to me did a great job, delivered my order on time and so on. It's not the fault of the part of the time waster called the product. I have it at 70psi and it made a small difference but the pressure dropped. I…

Much better to drive but requires patience to install

They were installed on a 2015 Ford Explorer Sport and as others have said their installation was a real bear. Fitting airbags into springs takes a lot of hard work and patience! Make sure you jack up the car and compress the springs as much as possible. I used a crowbar and channel locks to secure the packages in place (be careful not to puncture them!). Once the cushions were in place, hooking up the air ducts was pretty easy. Once installed, they certainly helped with towing. I had very…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • A little torn

I was unable to fit them into the springs on my 2015 Ford Flex as instructed. I jacked up the car with the rear suspension hanging and disconnected the anti-roll bar links and dampers as instructed to maximize spring extension. However, the small spring gap combined with the size of the airbag (compressed) and stiffness only allowed me with difficulty to push part of the airbag through the largest spring gap, but then I couldn't bend it into position even with the hands of an assistant and…

I have them on our 2014 Ford Explorer Limited and installed them.

I installed them on our 2014 Ford Explorer Limited and they work! Installation in coil springs takes time, so be patient. Begin by jacking up the car to stretch the coil spring. Bleed as much air as possible from the air spring and replace the black inlet plug on top of the air spring. Then spray WD-40 on both air springs and the coil springs themselves. Insert the air spring into the coil spring as far as it will go. I then use a long 1/2" ratchet extension to push the air spring all the way…

Did the job I needed.

I have a 2010 Lincoln MKS and the rear springs are weak. I didn't want to change the springs because that would do the same thing again. I did a little research and found that original springs are not designed to last forever. Here's a tip for installing these things. First, make sure you have a hole in the top of the spring that goes through the body of the car. If you don't do this, you will have to pull the spring to drill the hole. I was able to install them at 10°F without removing any of…
