I added these to my 2013 F150 to make it easier to tow a caravan and tipper trailer. They're fine for intended hauling, but the rear of the truck is now at least a few inches higher, even on the low 10-pound spec with bags, and the ride is springy enough to hit the internal bumpers that you I think could add more air in the pockets, but then it just sits a lot higher. To be clear they work great when loaded but when unloaded I regret putting them up empty and the back of the truck is so high it

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

The funniest moment was the purchase

Update: After all this installed and used I am satisfied with the product and it is of very high quality. However, the installation was still a problem. I'm pretty mechanical by nature and have worked a lot with trucks and cars. It was the worst setup ever. Installation is a joke. Screws and holes did not match. The thin U-bolt coming off the passenger side had to be sanded down along with part of the axle housing to remotely match. Don't even try to insert the studs into the pockets from the…

This kit contains everything you need.

Installed these bags on my 2010 Ford F150 last weekend. Aside from some small sanding work on just one of the four bottom brackets (to fit the spring loaded u-bolts which were bent together slightly at the factory) this kit is complete and I've also used a protection tube and exhaust guard. . It only took about an hour and I inflated the bags (Firestone with the internal impact protection I bought them for) to 40psi and let them sit overnight: in twelve hours no leaks AT ALL. I was very…

Air Lift Experience

I have a 2013 F150 that I'm towing an 8000 lb travel trailer on and when it's secured the rear drops a good 5 inches. I also blew shock absorbers while hauling dirt from a sand and gravel company. So I figured now would be the perfect time to install high performance dampers and an air lift system. 55 mph, but it was nice that the rear end didn't fall on the frame and the shocks didn't break. It was great when towing a caravan, it didn't fall off and the ride was much more stable than before…

Not too difficult to install

I'm just a computer genius trying to get comfortable. A Gear friend helped me as he has lots of tools, but I could easily do it in my own garage (don't all computer nerds have jacks and jacks?). The guide was pretty clear but some youtube videos also helped to get an overview of what's going on here. We did it in about 2 hours. Remove the tires, place two jacks on the axle, then use a jack with a spacer (wood) to raise the hitch receiver while driving to secure the bottom of the bag to the…
