Easy to install on spares

Easy to install. Mpg slightly increased. Together with the MagnaFlow exhaust system, they have a noticeable increase in performance.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Expensive

Ford F-150 FX4 2009 5.4L

Installation was easy. In the instructions you have to mount an airbox under the hood, but due to the small equipment. I assembled it on the table before going under the hood. Everything fitted perfectly and I was done in less than an hour. It's only been a few days but fuel economy/performance seems to have improved. The time will show. At least it makes a cute sound when I press it.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Not bad

AIRAID Cold Air Intake 403-231 oil free version.

Great intake, the best I've seen so far. My version uses no oil, which means a clean MAF sensor and no more expensive restrictive filters. Sounds good and cleans the top of the engine eliminating all those muffler chambers. I installed the dual exhaust the day after installing Airaid. Recording and there were no popup codes. I bought an SCT tuner and developed some custom tunes for my 09 f150 5.4 3v. And it was worth it. I have better mileage and a lot more horsepower. 0-60 in 5.96 with Android

Easy install good for spares

I had a K&N system on an 07 F150 but I figured the system had to move a lot and the filter would loosen and pop out every few months. I wanted to try something different so I went with Airaid on my 10 F150 5.4 V8. Out of the box, the tube, box and filter seemed top notch. The pipe went through easily enough with simple tools. And the airbox retains the factory base and clips that hold the system in place like a rock. It doesn't move and looks great. You'll need a torx bit to remove the airflow…

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not the best

A Good Improvement is Best in Parts

2009 Ford Expedition 4WD. The Expedition uses an interesting 4 inch pipe intake system similar to what you see in the picture here. But it has two tuned resonators to keep the noise down. Air Aid, on the other hand, does not. Noise can be an issue at 3/4 to full throttle, it's louder and buzzes under the hood. Conversely, the improvement in strength and power is nice, if not dramatic. the range is good. We haven't seen as much improvement as we did with our diesel upgrade. You get more power in

Pros
  • Feels Good
Cons
  • Annoying
