I understand that everything is expensive now. However, it's just a small piece of plastic with a metal ring, and it appears to cost three times the total cost.

This appears to cost about 5 cents in plastic. It's not as good as I expected from Belkin, and it's not something I would use for the long term. I would not buy again; I had to return it.

This must not cost more than a few cents to produce. It's just a simple metal key ring and two plastic circles. Plus, it comes in over-the-top packaging to make you think you've bought something of value.

I bought an AirTag case with a white key ring and will buy again. The white plastic looks great on the AirTag's white and reflective sides. The key ring seems to be quite durable and has replaced my original key ring. I can wholeheartedly recommend this case. One note: Buy a $20 2-pack instead of a $13 1-pack if you want to save a few bucks. 05/10/2021: 5/5 stars.

I wasn't aware of this before purchasing but you need to link it to your Apple ID. This means only that person can track the tag with the Find My app. So if you want to use it to keep track of a common key phrase, only one person can look it up. And if that person isn't there, that device becomes useless. You would have to put multiple airtags on the same key phrase for everyone to track them, which doesn't make sense. This key case is ideal for storing things like car keys, house keys, multi-tools, mini flashlights, etc. The Apple version of this product is not very good because the slot is perpendicular to the AirTag, so it is very bulky in the pocket.
