OE quality engine parts

I have used Aisin timing belt kits on my Honda/Acura vehicles for many years with good results. I was surprised to find that the tensioner I installed a few years ago failed after about 50,000 miles. I figured it must have been a fluke because others I've ridden have clocked up over 100,000 miles. I got it from Revain and it is identical to the Aisin tensioner that I removed. Picked up, started the car and no longer knocks! I find that it's a good idea to apply an anti-seize compound to the…

Easiest to do this on a 6 cylinder Accord if you don't change the belt.

My used Accord with 254k engine made a lot of noise when starting for about 5 minutes. A video on YouTube showed that the problem was in this component. So I bought it. I removed the front wheel on the passenger side after securing it. The tensioner is visible to the left of the oil filter. The two 10mm bolts come out fairly easily and then it just pops out from under the plastic timing belt cover. Other reviews I read mentioned an oil leak but mine was dry. I clamped it in a vise and slowly…

Excellent replacement tensioner, very high quality!

When starting a cold engine I started to hear a horrible rattle/rattle which went away after the engine had warmed up after about 15-20 minutes. I knew it was a faulty tensioner and after searching various Pilot/Ridgeline/Odyssey forums on the same engine I found this to be a very common problem. I'm due for a timing belt change in 15,000km and tried to hold on and wait but the noise got a lot louder and I didn't want to risk breaking the timing belt tensioner assembly. If you're not familiar…
