16 years old and had no problems installing! Excellent quality

Excellent set! All parts seem to be very high quality, Koyo bearings, Aisin pump, Japanese parts. The instructions told me how to synchronize my motor, since it was a 1999 I set it to 50 degrees BTDC to remove the belt. I just turned 16 and did this work myself, the hardest part was getting the timing right. Took about 9 hours from start to finish, I also drained the block to change the green coolant to factory red. Overall this is a great deal and I will buy it again in 90,000 miles. I alsoโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I purchased this timing belt kit for a 2007 Toyota Sequoia and am very impressed with the quality of this kit. In my opinion, this kit is in no way inferior to the factory kits. I'm a mechanic and I usually steer clear of many parts because of poor fit or quality, but after doing a little research on this kit I found that it is very similar to the original parts. This kit had everything I needed and even included some quality instructions. All fittings were excellent. I would recommend this set

The best set on the market!

Buy this kit, don't buy a cheap unbranded or well-known Gates kit. Your dealer is selling. Box/Numbers are different, but Aisin is OEM. This is by far a much better kit than others I've used and I've seen how much timing belt parts I know. I also know that a lot of people change the hydraulic tensioner every time they change the belt, but they don't. Change it every time because I've seen them get stuck and fail within the first 100,000. If it binds, belt tension will be lost, the belt willโ€ฆ

Great value for a 2007 4Runner 4.7L V8 OEM part kit

All of these parts are a perfect fit on a 2007 4Runner 4.7L V8 which is to be expected as they are OEM parts - they fitted perfectly removed parts from the car together. In the spring of 2017, less than $170 was paid for the kit. I would suggest buying 2 bottles of coolant and replacing the thermostat (with gasket sold separately) and V-belt while the timing belt and water pump are fine. Coolant: Toyota Genuine Fluid 00272-SLLC2 Long Life Coolant - 1 Gallon Thermostat: Toyota Genuineโ€ฆ

Remove heatsink for easy access

I installed this kit on my 2004 4Runner V8 a week ago. It took about 9 hours but I'm not a mechanic. The parts fit perfectly and correspond to the OEM originals. I'm not sure if the belt was ever changed so after 239,000 miles I decided to replace all pulleys, tensioner and water pump along with the belt. Everything went pretty smoothly, except for a couple of rusty screws that took a little longer to fix. I removed the radiator which isn't needed but it gives you a lot more room to workโ€ฆ

So far so good for timing belt kits

My Toyota 02 has a locked engine and it ran away when my wife drove to Sacramento. We towed it and installed a new engine, but it failed. So, despite the possibility of bent valves or other damage, I decided to just try installing the timing belt with an Aisin kit. This took a couple of weeks because I had to get other tools and parts to completely remove all the old belts and hoses. Also, I'm not a mechanic by trade. Aisin timing belt is very easy to use with alignment marks so you can makeโ€ฆ

Exceptional Timing Belt Kit

Exceptional TB Kit. you can't go wrong here. TB service was performed on a 187,000 mile 2004 Sequoia on what turned out to be original timing belt, water pump and TB components. The tensioner was NTN, the same as factory, the tensioner and tensioner bearings were the same as the OEM brand, and the water pump was the same as the OEM pump. The belt was Mitsubishi. The kit also includes rubber O-rings for the water pump and thermostat housing. Very complete kit and OEM quality without payingโ€ฆ

The best value for money OEM parts for Toyota, period.

Definitely the best timing belt/water pump kit you can buy for your Toyota/Lexus V8 engine. I have a 2006 4Runner with a 2UZ-FE engine and it's preparing for 200,000 miles. After 100,000 miles I took it to the dealer (don't shoot me I know) and they charged me a whopping $1,400 to replace the timing belt and water pump. For $170 and a day of my (or your) time, this kit will save you a lot of money. I'm one of those people who likes to use Toyota OEM parts but don't pay Toyota dealer prices. Iโ€ฆ
