Description of 🌬️ Enhance and Protect your Raspberry Pi 4 with Akasa Gem Pro, a Superior Passive Cooling Case in Silver

[ Superb Cooling Performance ] - Aluminium casing naturally dissipates heat into the surroundings for effective thermal temperature reduction without cooling fans. [ Excellent Quality ] - Silver sandblasted anodised aluminium body for durability, thermal efficiency and long-lasting use. [ Functional Design ] - All ports and slots of the case align perfectly for easy access, including GPIO, LEDs and microSD card. Wi-Fi signal window optimises wireless connection. [ Highly compact ] - Lightweight case perfectly balances cooling performance with size, with a compact heatsink top cover and custom-made aluminium thermal kit. [ Precision Cut I/O Openings For HDMI, Audio, USB Type-A & LAN ] - Note, there is no recess around the micro HDMI inputs to accommodate the overmolding on some micro HDMI connectors and so some overmolded cables may have issues.

What a great occasion! Best in Computer Components

Bought a Raspberry Pi Kit here about 18 months ago. I bought it for Pi-Hole and it worked fine. But about half a year ago, a small fan in the kit started to whine. It soon got so loud it became obnoxious and I eventually turned it off. The last few months have been so frustrating enduring all the popups on my phone and pc that I had to do something, I had to bring Pi-Hole back to life. I read some reviews and decided to switch the Raspberry board to this system. I couldn't be happier! The old…

You may need to change a few things

The case protects my Pi from thermal throttling, but I had to cut off part of the HDMI cable case to make it work with my TV. The cable worked flawlessly, with no changes, with my monitor and my neighbor's TV; I also had to modify my standard PC power button to fit the pins in the case with no risers. Definitely recommend if you are comfortable with a knife and maybe recommend something else!

I'm impressed by single board computers

I have to say I'm impressed. Bought as a replacement for the active cooling case. I ran some tests with the CPU idle and with all cores at 100% in an actively cooled case (45°C/64°C) and in this case (42°C/52°C). This case works much better than the old one. Installation was fairly easy, and the large aluminum block really helps transfer heat to the die-cast aluminum body. I definitely recommend this case (already have it). Makes the computer more reliable when there are no moving parts.

Pi4: Excellent passive cooling, HDMI cable didn't fit

Cooling: I used Arctic Silver 5 between the heat exchanger units and their respective case cutouts. I also used it for the processor to pass the block interface. I ran stress-ng and cpuburn-a53 and the CPU temp didn't go above 40C. For some reason I expected it to be higher. I need to double check my methods. HDMI cable: The micro HDMI adapter was not long enough to be electrically connected when plugged in, so no monitor. I suppose it would be possible to shave the plastic off the end of the…

Best passive cooling solution for Pi 4

This solid piece of aluminum is by far the best passive cooling solution for Raspberry Pi 4 to my knowledge. It beats my Flirc case by >10 degrees C! I looked at probably a dozen passive cooling solutions for the Pi 4 and bought 2 (that and Flirc). What I also really appreciated is the precision of the workmanship - all the parts fit together perfectly. And all the screws are the same, which makes assembly very easy. The only downside, as others have said, is that the micro HDMI cables don't

Amazing thermals but micro hdmi crashing

Pros: Amazing thermals under load (gcc or clang compilation). The old setup was with a GeeekPi case https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T2CPC2H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with a fan running on a 3.3V rail ( almost noiseless). Compiling the Linux kernel will have a temperature of 80-82 ° C. In this case, the GemPro maximum temperature for the same assembly was 48°C. Amazing difference. The Bad: I'm frustrated that I can't use my iVANKY Braided Micro HDMI…

Micro HDMI socket inserted too far

Phenomenal cooling performance; The temperature never goes above 40 F. My only complaint is that my micro HDMI cable can't fit all the way through the hole provided in the connector due to the thickness of the metal causing the connector to be over-inserted becomes. I tried scraping 1mm of the insulation around the connector but ended up peeling the skin off the ground layer which caused the video to freeze for a few seconds each time the cable was moved or moved. I ended up having success by…

Great quiet fanless Pi4 case

TLDR: Good: This case is great for cooling Raspberry Pi 4. Can overclock and Gem Pro case keeps Pi4 at 47C. Bad: no feet. The ports are really recessed; Cables may need to be replaced. Note. I highly recommend using a quality thermal paste for the best results. Stress test: I installed Raspberry Pi OS and then Stressberry. I ran it at stock frequencies and then overclocked it to 2000MHz for the CPU and 600MHz for the GPU. (Voltage was also increased.) For initial testing, I used thermal pads…
