Perfect fit for 2015 Tacoma

They fit my 2015 Tacoma perfectly. Delivered quickly, looks good and the price is reasonable. I am very happy with the purchase and will definitely buy them again if I need to replace the brakes. I've put a few hundred miles on them and haven't had any issues - there's noticeably less brake dust on my rims compared to the original pads, which is a nice bonus.

Pros
  • even old fashioned ones can understand
Cons
  • Doubtful

Works great so far for the braking system

I replaced the brakes on my FJ Cruiser and decided to go with these pads. I've been wanting to order EBC pads to match the rotors I'm installing but have read reviews saying they make too much dust. That's why I chose Akebono. They were easy to install and work great. Braking performance is much better than stock pads. I haven't worn them long enough to attest that I did. The only thing I don't like is that they are very dusty.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No insurance

OEM brake pads to fit brake system

As a car mechanic, I prefer to use OEM pads or the manufacturer that made the parts for the car. In this case, Akebono is the main manufacturer of brake components for many automobile companies. The quality of the ceramic pads, the braking performance and the absence of dust are as good as the OEM. The cost is equal or similar to cheap comparable brands at country auto parts stores, but in terms of performance they don't even come close to these Akebono pads.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Non automatic

and I am very happy with it

These pads are a bit dusty but VERY good for stopping a truck. I use them on a 4Runner with tundra brakes upgrade and am very happy with them. You have to put them down hard to get the best performance out of them. Not at first, but when they first came out of the mountains, they got hot and a little pale. I let them cool and they came right back. Hit her a few more times and the vanish won't come back. You only need to heat them properly a few times.

Pros
  • Excellent general characteristics
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good replacement 2004 Tundra Double Cab Ltd V8

Replaced brakes and discs on my Tundra (see photo uploaded) they fit perfectly in the trunk. I've just passed them by the bed in between and so far I haven't noticed any of the dusting issues that others have mentioned. I have been using Brembo coated rotors and the new rotors fixed the slight brake wobble I had from my old worn out rotors. Braking is good, about the same as before, but feels a little better. Should improve over time. Overall these are good ceramic replacement pads for the…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Amazing pads but no new hardware

Akebono makes amazing pads, they are no exception for my 2007 4runner, they say they are made in the USA too. Quiet and good braking performance, little dust and a perfect fit, nothing bad to say. The only bummer is that this and the rear Akebono, at least from Amazon for the 4th gen, doesn't come with new hardware, new clamps and guide pins would be really nice, but I sanded the guide pins to a mirror finish and reused the clamp pins. and so far everything works great, just keep in mind that…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Drives me crazy
