I was desperately looking for a roof rack like that, but they all had to be delivered many days later. Not only did it arrive in two days, it also had two extra pieces that weren't in the photos that I really needed! The materials are of very good quality and appear to be very durable. The kit includes an extra rope and loops where you can attach the rope.3. It's relatively cheap and works. Con.1. I wonder how long this will take. 2. Clamps/buckles that tighten the main bindings do not stay tight. They allow the strap to loosen. I had to figure out how to tie them. You need to buy ratchet straps. Overall pretty good for the price.

Easy installation. Everything high quality. Kayaked on foam pads, everything worked out great. Note that in the 2nd picture the back strap goes straight down. Next time I'll put the strap closer to the center of the foam pole to keep the kayak more taut. It seemed safer to me than threading a strap through the top of the kayak and car. This was my first attempt at tuning and I learned what to do to make the kayak as safe as possible. Exactly what I was looking for!

This is a great and inexpensive way to carry something on the roof from time to time. Soft blocks are a good alternative to rails. You don't want to leave them there all the time as the straps run inside and you don't want them hanging there all the time. But for infrequent use, it is better to have them on hand. If you don't want or can't install a roof rack on your car then this might be a good choice. Solution. It's wide enough for our classic Grumman aluminum canoe, but not too wide for our Prius canopy.
