Will not fit a standard water bottle.

The fabric and construction appear to be good but I cannot report how it will perform in use. Opinions on whether a standard water bottle will fit in the mesh pocket seem mixed, but I can definitely say my camelbak does not. Its diameter is approximately 2 3/4 inches, within the range given as normal in the description. I can barely get it halfway in but no more, and it's so tight you can't slide it in and out easily. For normal use. Unfortunately back.

Ideal for bikes without bottle cages

My vintage Bianchi doesn't have bottle cages and I don't want to drill into the classic frame. I bought this bag and all my problems are solved. It fits snugly and holds a ton of stuff like power bricks, keys, wallet, and more. The only thing is that it only comes with a standard disposable water bottle, not the full plastic bottle you want to have on your trip. You may have a larger bottle, but it takes up a lot of storage space. No big deal to me. Maybe this is something for you. Definitely…

Good combo for other sports

I like to add cases for spare tires, tools etc to all my bikes. I wanted to test this on one of my bikes that only has a bottle cage and a limited frame. It works as advertised. I can still carry my bike gear around and it's great for an extra 20 ounce water bottle for longer rides. Anything over 20 ounces will likely put some strain on the mesh and possibly break it. If you really want to pack a saddlebag full, it will bulge into the water bottle compartment making it difficult to attach the…

Does what you need.

It was an odd form of what I was used to. My bags usually lie flat under the seat, this one lies flat against the counter so I had to pack a little differently. It fits in a 24 ounce bottle but I think 20 ounce bottles would fit better. The top of the bottle has an elastic strap to keep it from falling out while riding. It's not an available bottle while riding, but a great place to keep a spare bottle while you drink your first two on the bike. I had no trouble with my feet chafing during a…

Perfect for my needs

FINALLY found a decent saddlebag that I love! Over the past few months I've tried returning 3-4 more bags but decided to stick with this one. I like the more vertical orientation. I find it easier to access and store more stuff than the typical horizontal gusset saddlebags and feel less clunky/bulky. The zips feel solid, nice thick material that seems to be quite water resistant (although I haven't tested it yet). It has a spare tube, 2 CO2 cartridges, a multi-tool, 3 tire pressure gauges, a…
