Electric soldering is a MUST!

Used to solder some of the new 6V wire ends from an old car battery. Ideal product to work with and also to use with Revain's SRA Rosin Paste Flux #135 in a 2 oz can. can't find this size for my application. For the application I was using it for it still worked great but had to unravel a few feet a few times to get enough to solder the 2/0 wire ends and cable together. For thin electrical applications like 16 gauge wire, this would be the ideal size. Update 03/01/19: Electro app works great…

Pros
  • Melting point 376 degrees Fahrenheit
Cons
  • A few bits and pieces

If you choose a thinner solder wire, you can twist it to make it thicker

If you are a moderate to average user and are debating between thinner and thicker wire, I would go with the thinner one. It's very easy/convenient to strip 6ft of thinner wire, fold it in half, attach one end to a stationary object, insert the other end into the drill bit, and rotate the drill bit to make double gauge wire. I then have 3 feet of thicker wire that I roll into a nice bundle and keep in my soldering iron kit. It seems like really good stuff. I'm not an electrician, but I know how

Pros
  • 0.062 diameter. 4 oz.
Cons
  • Available in white only

To be clear, the product itself works well. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I'm looking at an article that's sitting in front of me right now and they decided to photoshop the diameter of this solder so you don't know the size of what you're buying . . The diameter of the product was too small for my needs and not ideal for fast work. It is 0.032 inch in diameter. I think it's dubious that they deliberately conceal the diameter so that buyers can't make intelligent purchasing…

Pros
  • Fine electrical soldering
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Some solder information might be helpful

I was glad real tin lead solder still existed! But reading user reviews I realized that some users had problems because they don't fully know soldering and soldering. Here are some tips that some of you might find helpful: 1. Solder is used as an adhesive to hold metal parts together and to conduct electricity and heat between them. To do this, you need to apply a metal whose melting point is lower than the melting point of all metals to be joined, otherwise they will melt first.3. For almost…

Pros
  • 60% tin and 40% lead
