Nice and comfortable but large and quick to stretch

According to the size chart I took the average size but they were too big so I sent them back and received a small one. The little ones seemed to fit well, snug fitting and quite comfortable. However, once I wore them down on something slightly jarring (you know, those rocky trails you buy these things for), they just slipped down and landed on my wrists. They slip even faster in a shirt with long sleeves. I stopped wearing them after a few rides, they were already way too long (seriously lessโ€ฆ

Uncomfortable best for motorcycles and weightlifting

I have Paragon knee pads and I really like them so I decided to order Paragon elbow pads. They fit well but they are not comfortable for me. After about an hour of use, they cause a sharp, stabbing pain in the elbows from the pads. I tried changing the position of the pads to ease the pain but that didn't work either. I haven't had any falls with the pads so I can't comment on how well they protect, but as they are so uncomfortable for me I will never see their impact protection. I highlyโ€ฆ

Great pads (knee pads too)

I've used these mountain biking a lot over the last few months and am very impressed. I was looking for the lightest, coolest, most secure fitting elbow and knee pads I could find that also offered solid protection. I bought these to replace a set of 661 elbow and knee pads and they are much better for half the price. While they're clearly warmer than nothing, they don't get hot or sticky and I've never had to adjust them in the middle of a long ride. I usually forget I'm wearing them until Iโ€ฆ

They fit, not too hot, they worked when I fell!

I have been riding with elbow pads and knee pads for about 3 months. They fit very well within the recommended size given in the table. In the last three months, however, they have weakened slightly. They don't fit as tightly as new ones. However, they still stay in place fairly well. The elbow pads slip a bit when riding on very uneven surfaces. This should be easy to fix by inserting a small dart into the webbing. The linings are comfortable to wear (at least as comfortable as additionalโ€ฆ

A handy sentinel, but one that doesn't linger to do its job.

Recently received these and Paragon Knee Pads. I ordered a large size based on both my measurements and the Alpinestars size chart. After receiving them and trying them on, they turned out to be too big. Granted, my measurements are on the small end of the large size range, but within the range listed. I sent them back and received the media. They seemed to fit pretty well. On my first ride with them I was unlucky enough to hit the ground twice but took advantage of learning about theirโ€ฆ

Happy - not happy. Selected size

I wish I could give this 3.5 stars. But whenever I'm in between, I round up. Let's start with the good. It is very comfortable. After driving about 30 minutes I forgot they were even there. As for the build quality, I find it acceptable, but not outstanding. Broken down into its individual parts, I am very satisfied with the abrasion-resistant surface. In other words, the breathable mesh is great. Feels durable and well stitched. On the other hand, I think the Alpenstars chose the wrongโ€ฆ
