works great, looks great, price is right on amazon

All my USB ports on the motherboard worked on USB 1 and I couldn't get 2 to work like 2. I bought a 2.0 card and after installing everything my motherboard ports stopped working. The card I bought had 5 ports and I have 7 devices so I needed a hub. I bought this Alurtek 7 port hub from Fry, unfortunately I paid $8 more than the Amazon price. aluratek works great with devices that require USB 2.0 (scanners, printers, camcorders) and devices that do not require 2.0 such as keyboards and trackball

Alura-tek not that attractive

Love the style but that's it. Cheap plastic that doesn't take much effort to stay in place. I have to attach it to my desk with velcro. There are certain devices that I have connected to it but they don't show up. The front connectors are reversed, so if you have a flash drive with an eject button on the top, it won't be as easy to insert. What were they thinking! You could also add some space between the ports since it's vertical. They're so close together that there's little wiggle room, as…

Silly design but works well

This hub works fine. Nice look, no problem with that except the design is really really stupid. On the front panel you have 2 ports. They are REVERSE. Any time you plug in a USB cable, remember that the label on the cable (unlike other connectors) faces down. You can't see it in action. Stupid design, otherwise great product.
