The starter I got was just a motor. If you look at the picture you will notice a bendix and a mounting plate with a gear on the end. The engine I received had none of that, it was just an engine. I couldn't fucking use it on my John Deer's mower.

Block works great, turns much better than the old one. I had to remove the mounting bolts on my John Deere 112L and mount the starter using M8x1.25 x 4" screws and jumper the power cable to the magnetic clamp on the starter. A quick guide would have saved some time. Overall very satisfied

Do not buy this starter, I bought this not sure if my starter or solenoid was faulty so I decided to replace both, it arrived on time and it was a perfect fit, but when I installed it it rotated very slowly and made loud grinding noises. I ended up ripping the solenoid off and putting it on my old starter and now it works so I ended up paying $80 for the solenoid. the starter was scrap, the company didn't get in touch because a solenoid valve was needed and the grass was already very high and…

The assembly of this starter is very good. It is identical to the old one that started to fail on my 12.5hp Kawasaki engine. When my old starter motor on my John Deere SRX95 self-propelled mower started to fail, I looked for a new one. I referenced a John Deere part number and a Kawasaki starter part number and came across this. It is identical to the old Denso starter that originally came with the Kawasaki engine.
