Amarine Made 12v Water Pressure Diaphragm Pump: High-flow, Versatile for Caravan/RV/Boat/Marine Applications Review

Once we installed the pump it worked very well. It starts by opening the tap and stops when the pressure is reached. After a few hours it overheats and stops working. I installed the old pump and it works perfectly.

Replaced my standard pump with these and it has been working fine for over a year now. The only complaint is that performance drops sharply when 2 taps are on at the same time. I thought this pump could handle the faucet and shower together but no.

I bought this pump a month and a half ago. I finally unpacked it today to install it, of course I just got out of the return window. Anyway, the pump doesn't work. It has to be adjusted via the pressure regulator and is not displayed correctly. Also, it overheats. After running for just a few seconds, it was so hot that it couldn't be touched. We had high hopes for this pump.

I bought this pump on February 10, 2016 Unfortunately I wasn't able to install it on my water system until April 10, 2016. Immediately after installation the pump ran constantly, I first checked the system for leaks but couldn't find any so I shut off the pump outlet and checked again and it was still running so I'm pretty sure it's either the check valve or the pressure Switch is defective. . My problem is that I am currently in Canada, what should I do?

Excellent print. Installed it on a 30 gallon barrel to give the kids a bath after they went to the beach. Works great in combination with 1/2" stretchable tubing. Really too strong for the application I'm using it for. But as I understand it, it's better to be overcharged than undercharged. This works very well with my boat's water system. I have several different models and I think this is the best designed. It comes with a large mesh filter that attaches easily and looks well made. The connections seem to work tight. Note: This pump motor is probably intended for occasional use only. Didn't expect a bad experience with this product. Looks nice. Bought this pump to replace another pump in an existing installation for more GPM. Couldn't get it to work properly. After installation, the pump ran at the upper pressure limit. I isolated it from the shore line, there was no leak around the pump but I did hear a whistle in the pump itself. Works great so far, I'm a safari driver and this pump has been on my boat for about 4 months with no problems. Update: December 2017. I use this pump to pump about 12 feet out of barrels through a 5/8 inch garden hose, I know it's not recommended but as long as it works after 100 feet of 1/2 inch garden hose for watering plants throughout my yard. It generates LARGE pressure and at least the volume listed, and will even push through a 100ft hose. Impressive performance. Fairly quiet and no problem when it runs dry. It WILL get hot if you run it dry but I think that's normal for the diaphragm type. Just don't let it run dry. I
