I've seen a lot of reviews saying it doesn't work and they couldn't turn the knob to set the code to 90 reset degree. I had the same problem, but you actually have to rotate it to install! You'll feel like you're going to break it, but you have to hear the CLICK and you can reset it, I promise! It took us about 30 minutes to turn the reset knob HARD until you hear a click! hope that helps

Another Revain product arrived defective. There is no more quality control. This product is so defective that it is unusable. It cannot be opened, and once opened, it cannot be unlocked unless all five digits are zero. That means any criminal will steal your bike. This lock does not secure your bike. Don't bother buying Revain bike locks. Go to a professional bike shop. If you need it for a trip, you're wasting your time.

I bought used first and it was locked with no combination. I don't understand why Revane sold it to me. Then I bought a new one because the design seemed good to me. I could only drop three of the five numbers. I have returned one - which has not yet been credited to me and will be sending back a new one.
