Good heavy duty socket

I needed a 165 ft.lb 1/2 torque wrench. It was a good price, comes with a nice box. I tested it with another key I had and both clicked 100lbs in the same spot. So I assume the calibration is correct. I've worked 165-200 pounds several times with no problems.

Pros
  • Hands free operation

No frills, gets the job done

I needed a smaller torque wrench to complement my trusty 1/2 inch ft/lb Monster for lighter pull fasteners, bye, I'm reassembling the motor I remodeled so it looked like it would fit. It comes in a matching box and seemed fairly accurate when I rechecked it on a larger wrench at lower settings. Overall it seems good enough for performance and price.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Ideal for heavy routine work but not intended for frequent commercial use.

Economical, heavy duty, wide range torque wrench for farm or home use. The instructions indicate that it is not intended for permanent commercial use. Sizes up to 250 foot pounds which is not uncommon these days. I recommend using impact sockets when working in the 150-250 ft.lb range so you don't damage regular sockets.

  • Weight
Cons
  • Not sure

Not that I felt comfortable.

Never tried to verify accuracy because I wasn't impressed with tightening the wrench as the torque increased and the biggest con was not being able to get the lock nut to stay tight when it was lower torque range. I tightened it as far as I could with my finger and I was still able to move the tightening part of the wrench. Sent the wrench back and spent a little more for what I think is the best torque wrench.

Pros
  • Easy to adjust

Garbage ! Best in Wrecks

The item I received failed completely - it didn't work and I cut off the first screw I tried using it on. Unfortunately it was in a brand new bike part which is now unusable. The engraved settings are difficult to read, but I took out my magnifying glass to make sure I set it correctly before using it. This was not user error. After the bolt sheared off, I checked the wrench on another bolt - it never "popped". If you do decide to buy one of these pieces of junk, do yourself a favor and test…

Garbage. Even the replacement is broken.

The first item that was sent to me was unassembled in the case. The metal is too thin to hold a tiny torx screw. The #2 they sent has "a locking ring that won't return when pulled, a mechanism that can't be adjusted, a loss grip (I was able to unscrew it by hand) - along with ridiculous instructions in 12 languages and a case .clearly meant for another instrument.so thats enough.bought pro bike tools alone if you have to spend more to get a good tool then so be it.sorry rewan.I WANTED to like…

Pros
  • Includes a durable plastic case for storage and portability
Cons
  • Electrical outlet required

Great Value: Torque Wrenches

These are great tools to get you started and familiarized with torque wrenches in general. The value you derive from it is incomparable. Overall these aren't perfect or amazing products but for the price they make a great tool if this is your first torque wrench. If it ever breaks you might want to switch to a premium brand, but for now that's perfect. They currently have 3/8" and 1/2" options and there is a big difference in size between the two. The locking mechanism SUCKS and moves on its…

Great value for money torque wrench

Everything about this torque wrench looks like a chrome Tekton wrench. I'm assuming Tekton did this as an OEM rebrand for anyone looking to sell them. The overall quality matches the price. This is an old fashioned torque wrench with few teeth. The handle is finely knurled and good enough for greasy/greasy hands. The only complaint I have is that the legend folds into a handle and can be a bit difficult to read but does not rub off with use. I can't confirm the accuracy as I don't have a meter…

  • High contrast dual range dial pre-calibrated to ±4%
