Overall not bad but with broken screen

Gauge seems good and reasonably priced (less than $170). The only issue is that I had a screen that didn't display properly when connected to a charger. The rest of the screen worked well except for charging. I took it apart and decided to melt the shield wire soldered to the board. It should have had a port, but what do you expect from a cheaper device. As soon as I redid it the screen worked normally again so I gave it 3 stars. defect from the start.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Requires power outlet

ASE Apprentice Tech Approved

For the novice technician, this is a requirement for DVOM. I have seen, owned and compared several DVOMs and this one won the award. I had a performance probe, I used some fins and also Innova. It is rechargeable and has an internal battery. Pretty weird to charge but I haven't had to charge it since I bought it. The presentation is good! It's customizable. The test leads are also a good length. But the main thing that attracted me was the price, but the graphical part / function of the tool…

CEM DT-989 Rebranded

This meter works great. I tested my Fluke 87v and Fluke 289. It's pretty accurate. As the name suggests, it is a product rebrand. If you search for CEM DT-989 you will see counter pictures. I'd say it's pretty lazy and it took a star off me. Overall, the measuring device is excellently suited for most applications. I tried it on circuit boards and the only thing that worked for me was a continuity test to check for shorts on the board. Ohm was a little hard to read on the board. Diode mode is…

Good multimeter with easy to read display

I was looking to buy an additional multimeter and saw a thread on the eevblog about Revain brand multimeters. I had no idea they even existed. There are several models in different price ranges, whereby the model with a TFT color display caught my eye the most. Other multimeters I own have a regular LCD with a backlight that can be turned on. I inevitably find myself in a low light situation where I have trouble reading the display. So I fumble for a button to turn on the backlight. It helps…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Minor problems

Great counter at a great price!

So far this multimeter has been a pleasure to use. The color screen is much easier to read in low light. It lies comfortably in the hand, the measured values stabilize relatively quickly. I like the solid hit with every dial change. The chart feature is great for tracking changes and averages. The battery charge lasts a long time. The only complaint is that the case is cheap and doesn't last long. I use all day. Servicing of large household appliances. I like to dig it up to use it. To update…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

0 stars, no guarantee! Updated rating then revised

I'm a diagnostician and have been using it for a few months. I decided to replace it, it's just that the display shows readings for too long. I had a 20 year old high quality meter that responded and gave readings instantly, but I wasn't sure of its age or accuracy. This gauge appears to be well built and of good quality. Pros: Easy to read display, if it turns off due to inactivity just press F3 to turn it back on, rechargeable and sensor holder on the back. Cons, slow display of readings…
