Poor documentation regarding the continuity function

Contrary to Revain's hype, the device does not have a continuity test. i give it back Updated 10/08/2020: While the ohmmeter serves as a continuity gauge, the 23-page manual is missing ANY information on this important feature. I would give 5 stars if the instructions were correct.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Upgradable

This is UL Listed - Tester

This is UL Listed. It's a nice little gauge, less than a pack of cigarettes. Whether you're towing an RV or a cargo trailer, you should all be aware that lights are a constant source of frustration. This is a nice little gauge to keep in your glove box to check your trailer/RV's lights or wiring. I don't have to worry about my lights or being stopped.

  • cool product

Mini multimeter with good shock protection

Good little multimeter with manual operation and a large and easy to read display. It's a bit chunky in size, but it's nice that it has a rubberized finish that makes it easier to grip and protects against bumps. This is a good gauge just in case. It doesn't have very high accuracy (only one decimal place) and the manual range means you need to have a general idea of the measured signal. Still a good choice.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Some flaws

Does not use standard battery.

Seems like a decent little gauge for basic stuff, haven't tried to check accuracy or anything. The NCV (Non-Contact-Voltage) function is a bit weak, you have to get very close to feel anything. What gets those 2 stars is the battery, a tiny 12v thing that almost no one will have around. You take this thing out of the drawer when you need it and find that the battery is dead, you don't use it without going to the store or waiting for the delivery man.

Pros
  • Shipping was very quick
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Uses custom battery

I'm used to multimeters with a 9 volt battery and sometimes 3 AA or AAA batteries. It has a small 12V battery that is about half the length and diameter of an AAA battery. So if the battery dies (which they do) I can't just grab another battery (I always have 9V, AA and AAA). Now I have to have another battery with me and who knows how much it will cost to replace it - probably half the cost of the multimeter itself. This meter is being sent back I get another one that uses a standard battery.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

It's not about the size. Well maybe it is.

I bought this to replace a cheap multimeter that was destroyed by a clumsy electrician (me) and a 220v plug. Sidebar: Use the right tools and settings to measure a 220v plug was surprised at how small it is. I was disappointed at first but the screen is a very good size and easy to read no matter the size. The needles are of good quality and come with an insulated sleeve exposing only the tip. This multimeter spends most of its life in my IT tool bag and the size was really good to keep the…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive

  • boring packaging

Excellent value for money, essential tool

I accidentally erased my previous analog multimeter. I left the multimeter in resistance measurement mode. So the final test was to measure the active outlet. Ouch! Instant History Multimeter. Well, I really liked the analog readout on my old multimeter. But in the short time I've had this new one I liked the digital display of this gauge as the numbers are a good size and easier to read. Also, this new counter fits very nicely in my main tool bag (which I almost always carry first when…

Pros
  • One year trial version
Cons
  • Available in white only
