I finally thought I'd found a long handled shovel. The photo shows the handle about the same length as the finish. 12-16 inches right? Well the description says 9 inches. As you scroll through hundreds of options, you tend to look at pictures. It will work, just make sure you know what you're getting if you want a long handle.

I have a much larger long handled pizza crust that is great for large pizzas in the oven. *** I bought this to have something less bulky in my small kitchen to put sourdough bread in the oven. This, sprinkled with some rice flour, allows me to take the bread out of the banneton, score it and place it in a dutch oven without worrying about trying to crack the bread in a hot dutch oven. Perfect size for my use.

Loved this scoop when it arrived it was nice and sleek and the perfect size for a 16 inch pizza launch was with this one guy easy. Unfortunately, after about 2 pizza sessions and only about 1 month after purchase, he started bowing heavily. Now everything has gotten so bad that it is no longer reliable. See image! I've never soaked it and never kept it in the oven for too long. It just happened with normal use. American Metalcraft makes good stuff and I have a lot of them but don't buy these!

I needed a large wooden scoop for my 14 inch thick crust pizza with heavy toppings and this item exceeded my needs. Sturdy but not too heavy and the label says "Made in Canada". I bought this because I needed a bowl for my Ooni Koda oven. But the shell is too thick (1/2 inch) and difficult to use. You have to tilt it 40 degrees to start or get the pizza. Getting the pizza out is almost impossible, as you have to tilt the spatula at a steep angle so that the tip of the scoop's edge touches the bottom of the stone.
