Lifesaver replacement

Bought to replace a cartridge with a leak behind the tub wall. Installation is easy, quick and leak-free. This item was needed quickly and Revain delivered it quickly.

Worked great - faucet parts

Installation was easy and took me 2 days to get compared to buying from a big hardware store. They had it locally but it was double the price. Fits perfectly, works great. I love controlling the warmth of my soul!

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • No instructions

Hard to find part for home delivery

This part replaced an old one in our 30 year old American Standard Ceramix faucet and was easy to install. These parts are only available online or by special order. We've tried every plumbing store and major grocery store since our cartridge broke the day before we left for vacation, to no avail. The item was delivered while we were away and was easily installed when we returned.

  • Impressive

  • Expensive

2 tries and still rubbish

I first bought one from Home Depot along with another interior that didn't seem to have anything to do with shutting off the water but wanted to be thorough. I cleaned everything inside the valve body, swapped out the parts, it's still flowing. Ordered another new one based on the good reviews of the Revain hoping it was a defective part. Both new ones I bought looked like they should work, but they are rubbish. This experience left me with bad taste in American Standard products in general. I…

Buy direct from American Standard this is junk

I bought this and installed it in my shower 3 months ago and it's already failing. I was just painting the interior of my house and noticed a huge leak in the downstairs ceiling. I ordered one under warranty from American Standard a few years ago and it installed trouble free for many years. 3 months ago my shower head started dripping so I called AS to get a replacement but due to delivery issues thanks Brandon they were OOS. They had a distracting cartridge in stock, so I had to order another

Pretty easy fix fits cartridges

I have to overhaul kitchen faucets about every 6 years because my cold water doesn't soften; Scale really spoils these cartridges. This is a pretty easy fix. Don't forget to turn off the water supply and keep plumbing grease handy for new parts. I always replace gaskets and spout seals while disassembling the faucet. They're cheap and easier to do all at once. Take photos of the inside of the mixer at all stages of its disassembly. This helps if you forget which side is up etc when trying to…

A happy Thanksgiving hiker is here.

I wasn't sure about my AS model and the displays are a bit confusing. There seems to be about 3 47mm cartridges from AS and I couldn't find a good definitive page explaining repairs AND technical differences. Through a process of elimination, I concluded that one was for the bathroom faucet, the second was for the showerhead valve, which is thin enough to fit "back-to-back" bath/shower valves in a standard wall, and the third, then, was for kitchen faucets. I still hesitated and searched in…
