Perfect Fit: Rough Plumbing

I purchased this part hoping it would work as a replacement cartridge for our standard American faucet. As others have pointed out, this is a perfect match. The dimensions given for this product are not correct so I was initially unsure if it would fit. The piece is exactly 2.2" long even though the description says 4.7". I have uploaded an image of this measurement. I hope this helps other customers determine if this is the correct part.

Valve only fits one side of faucet

It is very frustrating to find a replacement faucet valve from Revain and I have to go to another seller to get a replacement faucet valve. I bought 2 of these replacement faucet valves not realizing that the valves cannot be used on either side. This valve fits my bathroom faucet's hot water, not the cold water. So now I have a useless valve that I can't use either. So remember that it will only fit one side of your faucet, not both.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Replacement cartridge

So far, so good. I've been replacing them for years now and the quality seems to be slowly but steadily declining. The original cartridges lasted several years, replaced at most a year. And that's the goal now, the last few months. American Standard gives a "lifetime" warranty on the faucet, but the recurring expense of cartridges eventually made me switch fixtures. There are only two left. For $15 shipping I'm missing the 50 cent rubber washers.

Stop Slow Leak Instant

I was delighted to find that this replacement valve cartridge would fit my standard American bathroom faucet. It's a shame it takes a $16.25 cartridge to do the job that 25-cent washer did in older faucets, but it's easy to install and should last a lot longer than a traditional old-fashioned one Washing machine. I immediately ordered 3 more to use on other similar faucets if they leak in the future. Well made and very durable but most importantly it stopped the slow leak that was driving us…

Works for Hampton Dual Handle Cresent Deck Mount Faucet (Roman Bath)

The original parts on my American Standard Cresent Dual Handle Deck Mount Hampton Faucet (Roman Bath) lasted 18 years. I just had to replace the cold stem/cartridge with this item and I will be replacing the hot side soon - just to do so as it is also 18 years old. Can't tell if the new rod/cartridge will last as long, but the one I've installed is working fine for now. American Standard didn't answer my call after 30 minutes trying to confirm this was the part I needed. But if you have an…

This is the real thing.

I installed my American Standard faucets in 2000 and the original American Standard cartridges have been smooth and non-drip for 17 years. When they started dripping, I replaced them with $11 third-party fakes and immediately realized they didn't have the smooth leverage of the originals. The movement of the lever felt like there was sand between the shaft and the body. The killer thing is that they only started dripping after 3 years. I took two of those American standard cartridges and after…

Perfect fit, one for one exact replacement

Nothing more to say - it was the perfect replacement part for our sinks. As they approach the 15 year mark, the cartridges slowly begin to drip and fail. These inserts are a direct, one-for-one replacement for my sink. Installation is very simple, but you should know if you have never installed a cartridge before: they are universal - they fit handles that rotate clockwise or counterclockwise (left or right handle). The device can be rotated 360°, think of it as a clock. When the device is…

Fits my Williamsburg Kitchen Faucet and Williamsburg Bathroom Faucet

When a rapid drip started from the hot water side, I knew the cartridge needed replacing. Took out the cartridge and saw on the internet that we have a fancy Williamsburg kitchen faucet that we bought 10 years ago, matching the pictures on the internet at American Standard. There was a sort of white washer ring at the bottom of the cartridge that had been eaten away and some were missing. I tried checking Home Depot where we bought the faucet and it listed a discontinued part. I took the part…
